The award recognises teams that have delivered results in developing and implementing their organisation’s strategic objectives. Enviromena’s legal team is one of six finalists, alongside teams from Ohme, Hemiko, Citizens Advice, SSEN and the National Energy System Operator.

The shortlisting follows a year in which the team has supported a series of significant transactions for the business. These include a £1 billion refinancing, one of the first transactions completed under the modified P442 direct supply framework and the acquisition of more than 150MWp of ready-to-build projects, with further acquisitions in the pipeline.

The team is made up of Clara Wilson, David Eddy and Jemima Lines, working alongside Alistair Metcalfe and Aidan Welton.

Clara Wilson, Legal Counsel at Enviromena, said: “The range of work that has come through the team this year is the part I would point to. A refinancing, a transaction under a framework that was new to everyone involved and a set of acquisitions all landed in the same 12 months, and none of them looked like the last one.

“Getting through that has come down to how closely the three of us work, and to the room we have been given to take things on. Alistair and Aidan have trusted us with work we might not have seen at this stage elsewhere, and that is why the shortlisting means something.”
